Warrior spotlight

A cancer diagnosis was the last thing I was expecting at 36. Everything felt like it was spinning and out of place. I knew nothing about anything. I am so glad there were programs and systems in place to guide people like me.

As someone with no insurance, the CSVI grant did a tremendous job of alleviating some of the stress and uncertainty. Life continued as usual, regular old life. Groceries, school, kids, everything. The help made it that much easier.

They say, “Dey always forget St. John!” In this case, I definitely didn’t feel forgotten. In this case, they didn’t forget any of us.

Much love coming out of Love City! I am grateful for the foresight of those who started CSVI. I am grateful for the dedication of those who continue it. I am grateful that the structure was there to support me and people like me when we hear news like this for the first time.  We are able to walk into a bit of a cushion. A little VI strong.
